1. Purpose
sibaqui is a digital platform that connects organizers of sporting events (trail runs, road races, cycling, triathlon, swimming, kids' races, etc.) in Algeria with participants who wish to register for these events. These Terms of Service and Sale ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Platform by any user, whether acting as an organizer or a participant.
2. Definitions
- "Platform": the sibaqui.com website, its associated applications, and all the services they provide.
- "Organizer": any individual or legal entity that creates and publishes an Event on the Platform.
- "Event": any sporting event published on the Platform, which may include one or more Races.
- "Race": a distance, format, or category within an Event (e.g. half-marathon, 10 km, 25 km trail).
- "Participant": any person who registers for a Race through the Platform, or the legal representative registering a minor.
3. Acceptance of these Terms
Creating an account, registering for an Event, or publishing an Event on the Platform constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
4. User account
Certain features (registering for a Race, creating an Event, messaging) require creating an account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity carried out from your account.
Some registration flows may require verification of an identity document (national ID card) to confirm the identity of the Participant or Organizer and to prevent registration fraud. Handling of this document is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Role of sibaqui
sibaqui acts as a technical intermediary between Organizers and Participants. sibaqui does not itself organize the Events published on the Platform: each Organizer is solely responsible for the content, conduct, safety, and regulatory compliance of their Event (administrative permits, course safety, insurance, medical support).
sibaqui provides the tools to publish an Event, manage registrations and associated payments, communicate with Participants, and track routes (GPX traces).
6. Registration and payment
Registration fees for a Race are set by the Organizer and displayed in Algerian dinars (DZD) before payment is confirmed. sibaqui may charge a service fee, shown separately at checkout when applicable.
Payments are processed via [payment provider name / CIB / Edahabia / other]. sibaqui does not store Participants' full banking details; these are processed directly by the payment provider.
Registration for a Race is confirmed only once payment has been received in full and, where applicable, approved by the Organizer (limited capacity, eligibility criteria). The number of spots per Race is set by the Organizer and may be limited.
7. Cancellation, postponement, and refunds
*[To be confirmed with a typical Organizer and/or legal counsel before publishing — the policy below is a starting point, not a policy already in effect.]*
- Cancellation by the Participant: any cancellation request must be submitted from the "My Registrations" area or by message to the Organizer. Refund terms (deadline, amount, fees withheld) are set by each Organizer and displayed on the Event page before registration.
- Cancellation or postponement by the Organizer: if an Event is cancelled or postponed by the Organizer, refund or transfer terms are communicated to affected Participants via a notification on the Platform and/or by email.
- Service fees: service fees charged by sibaqui, where applicable, [are / are not] refundable in the event of cancellation.
8. Organizer obligations
By publishing an Event, the Organizer agrees to:
- provide accurate information about the Event (date, location, wilaya, distances, fees, number of spots);
- hold the administrative and sporting permits required to hold the Event;
- ensure course safety and medical support appropriate to the Event's format;
- process Participant data shared with them in accordance with applicable law and solely for the purpose of organizing the Event;
- respond to Participants through the Platform's messaging within a reasonable time.
9. Participant obligations
- provide accurate registration information (identity, contact details, emergency contact when requested);
- comply with the rules specific to each Event, as published by the Organizer;
- behave fairly and respectfully toward other Participants, volunteers, and Organizers;
- not transfer their bib or registration to a third party without the Organizer's authorization.
10. Physical fitness and health
Participating in a sporting activity carries risks. By registering for a Race, the Participant declares that they are in adequate physical condition to take part and, where required by the Organizer or applicable regulations, agrees to provide a medical certificate confirming no contraindication to the relevant sporting activity. sibaqui neither issues nor verifies these certificates itself; unless stated otherwise, this verification is the Organizer's responsibility.
For Races open to minors, registration must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, who confirms their parental authority and the child's fitness to participate.
11. Intellectual property
The Platform, its structure, design, and the elements that make it up (excluding content published by Organizers and Participants) are the property of [Legal entity name] or its licensors and are protected under applicable intellectual property law. Any unauthorized reproduction or representation is prohibited.
By publishing content (photos, Event description, GPX traces, logo), the Organizer warrants that they hold the necessary rights and grants sibaqui a non-exclusive license to use that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
12. Limitation of liability
sibaqui takes reasonable steps to ensure the Platform is available and reliable, without guaranteeing it will be free of interruptions or errors. sibaqui shall not be held liable for:
- the conduct, cancellation, postponement, or safety conditions of an Event organized by a third party;
- any bodily injury occurring during an Event;
- the accuracy of information published by Organizers;
- service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control (payment provider outage, network failure, force majeure).
To the extent permitted by applicable law, sibaqui's liability toward a user is limited to the amount of service fees actually received by sibaqui in connection with the transaction concerned.
13. Personal data
The processing of personal data collected through the Platform is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
14. Suspension and termination
sibaqui reserves the right to suspend or terminate, without notice in the event of a serious breach, a user's access to the Platform, in particular in cases of fraud, false information, non-compliance with these Terms, or conduct that compromises the safety of other users. A user may request closure of their account at any time by contacting support.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Algerian law. Any dispute concerning their interpretation or performance shall, failing an amicable resolution, fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of [city — entity's registered office].
16. Changes to these Terms
sibaqui may amend these Terms at any time, in particular to reflect changes to its services or to applicable regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document. In the event of a material change, users will be notified via a notice on the Platform or by email before the new terms take effect.
